Depending on the type of role you apply for at Jetstar, there are a few different ways we’ll get to know you and give you the chance to show us what you can do. Read on to find out more about what to expect from our recruitment process.

Application process
Online application
Browse our vacancies, and when you find something that suits you click on ‘apply’ to complete your online application. Make sure you include your CV!

Interviews
For some of our roles we use video to meet you and find out more about you. We’re interested in hearing your motivations for joining our team, and we’ll give you the chance to talk through some of your experiences.
Telephone interview
Our recruitment team will contact you to tell you more about the role and answer your questions. This is an opportunity to discuss your skills and experience and assess whether we’re a good fit for each other.
Face-to-face interviews
There are usually two rounds of interviews, held by Jetstar’s Hiring Managers and Recruitment team. Depending on the role and your location, these interviews may be held over Skype.
Competency-based interview
We’ll ask you a combination of technical and behavioural questions. The technical questions will relate to specific skills and knowledge, while the behavioural questions will ask you to respond to situations similar to those that you would encounter in the role.
Assessment day
Our assessment sessions usually run for approximately 3 hours. It’s a highly interactive experience, where we take the time to find out more about each applicant.
Apart from skills and experience, we look for passion, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. You can expect the following activities on the day:
An overview of Jetstar, our team and the vacancies available
We provide lots of information about Jetstar and the roles, so applicants are totally clear about the positions they’re being considered for. There will be the opportunity to ask questions of our Recruitment and People teams, along with our airport-based leaders.
A one-on-one interview
We hold a competency-based interview to find out about you and your experiences, motivations and suitability. Come prepared with examples of your experience that you feel may be relevant.
Group activity
Working at the airport is all about working as part of a team. The group activity gives you a chance to be yourself, interact with your fellow applicants and have some fun!
